Chapter 48: A Bitter Heart

As I walked away from the chapel, Julianna's bitter words still echoed in my mind. I knew that her resentment wouldn't dissipate easily, but I remained hopeful that time and patience might eventually mend the divisions within our pack.

However, as I made my way back to the training grounds, I felt an unsettling presence behind me. Turning around, I saw Julianna following me, her expression twisted with anger and determination. It was clear that she had no intention of letting this matter rest.

"Elisa," she called out, her voice sharp and filled with venom, "I hope you enjoyed your little visit to the chapel because it won't be long before I steal Lucian away from you."

I stopped in my tracks, my patience wearing thin. I had tried to be diplomatic and understanding, but Julianna's relentless pursuit of confrontation was testing my resolve. "Julianna, this is not the way to handle your feelings. Love cannot be forced or stolen. It must be freely given."

She scoffed, her eyes blazing
