I couldn't let her wander off alone, especially in her vulnerable state.

Ignoring any sense of pride or anger, I sprinted after her, desperately scanning the streets for any sign of her. The fear of losing her consumed me, pushing aside any thoughts of Benjamin or our complicated relationship.

Finally, I spotted Sofia up ahead, standing near a group of shady-looking individuals. My heart raced as I approached them, my instincts telling me that something was off. Before I could reach Sofia, one of the men grabbed her and forcefully pulled her towards him.

"No!" I screamed, my voice filled with fear and desperation. I lunged forward, trying to free Sofia from his grasp. But as soon as I made contact with him, everything went black.

When I regained consciousness, I found myself in a dimly lit room, my hands bound together. Panic welled up inside me as the reality of our situation set in. We had been kidnapped.
