Chapter 2

             PHOEBE

"That's not fair, how do you know I was the one". He said removing his hands from my eyes, he came to sit beside me, Sean scoffed.

"Your hands are so soft and unique and I also perceive your perfume". I said smiling.

"I think I will have to take my leave now". Sean said standing up.

"I will see you later". I said and he left.

Brian placed a kiss on my lips, he broke it, holding my hand. 

"How was your exam?". I asked, holding his hand with my hands.

"It was great because I was just seeing the image of a beautiful damsel that put a smile on my face". He said and I frowned.

"Who is that beautiful damsel?". I asked, rolling my eyes.

"It's Phoebe, my one and only, I love her so much". He said happily.

"I so much love this guy called Brian, he is my everything". I shouted joyously. He hugged me from behind, kissing my neck continually.

"Hey, hey people are staring". I said and a moan escaped through my mouth.

"Lovey-dovey, how I wish I had a girlfriend". Seth said, I blushed, we disengaged.

"Seth you are such a disturbance". He said pouting.

"You look cute". I said laughing.

"I know I love cute, hearing it from you increases my joy, I love you". He said pecking me.

"I love you very much". I muttered.

"I am lost here, I don't need anybody to tell me that". He said leaving at once. My face turned pale and sad after moments of silence.

"Hey babe what is the matter". He asked, getting worried. 

"I don't know what fate holds for us". 

"How I don't understand you". I stood up and I started going towards the stairs, he followed without questioning. I found my way to the rooftop, I laid my hands on the edges of the rooftop. He hugged me from behind, resting his head on my back. We remained in that position for a short while. I turned to make him stand. 

"You will be done with your studies in two months". He nodded. "What am I going to lose or gain?Am I going to ever see you again?Are we going to break up the relationship we had for two years now?. I have tried asking myself these questions but I couldn't provide an answer for it, I am sure you will". I said almost tearing up, he smiled. I am an emotional person.

"I have being waiting for you to ask me such question. You are not going to lose anything, instead you will profit a lot. I have promised myself to work harder to make you as comfortable as my wife. We are never going to break up". He said, I stare deep into his eyes.

"Promise me you are going to do all this for me". I said tearing up.

"I promise". He said, we hugged each other tightly, I cried on his shoulders. 

We disengaged, "I don't like seeing you in tears, please stop crying". He said, wiping off my tears.

"Can I invite you to my house?". He asked, I have been expecting this from him. I don't know anyone from his family. He simply said he lived far away, that he only came to study here.

"Yes I will". I said smiling.

"That's my baby girl". He said, I chuckled, we hugged.

"Couple". Seth said, causing us to separate.

"What are you doing here". Brian asked, he faked his anger.

"Another exam will be starting in the next few minutes, don't you check your time". Seth said, he checked his time.

"I totally forgot, see you later my love". He said placing a kiss on my lips, he started leaving, he stopped, he turned and he winked at me, I smiled, I kept staring until he was out of sight. I really hope he keeps his promise, I would die if he ever thought of leaving me.

When we were done for the day, I went to Abigail's block to wait for her. Brian and Sean block is far from Abigail's block, she studies law while they study Business Administration. I bet they will ever meet. 

Abigail is an introvert, she hardly make friends, the only friend she has, is her childhood friend Rebecca, she ghost me in the house, she is too boring for my liking, but what can I do, she is my sister, I have to endure, only few students knows me as her sister we hardly speak in school. So pathetic.

 I peeped into the examination hall. "Oh God they are still writing". I leaned my back against the wall. My phone beeped. I brought it out from my pocket, it's a message, I unlocked it, it is from Brian, a smile appeared on my face.

"Where are you?". He asked.

"I am in the law faculty waiting for my sister". I replied.

"Okay, anyways I am through with my exams". he texted back.

"That's good, kindly send your home address". I texted taking in my lips.

"Are you coming today?". He replied with a happy sticker.

"No I am not coming today, don't know when I will leave here, perhaps, I won't tell you when I will come it is my little secret".

"Okay, I am out of the school premises'. He texted then I smiled not replying.

"Are you writing the whole textbook?". I asked as she gave me her bag. They finished minutes ago.

"It is not easy being a law student". She said as we started walking.

"There is nothing in this law course of a thing". I scoffed.

"There is a lot, you have to know all the constitution offhand, you have to read multiple books at a time which you must have to understand and be able to interpret, you must read constantly for you not to forget things". She explained.

"I now know the reason why you have been an introvert all your life". I nodded.

"I have to minimize time in everything I do, for me to create time to read". She said getting into her car, I followed. "I thought you came with your car". She asked.

"Yes I called the driver to pick it up some minutes ago". I said sitting properly.

"I am done for". She muttered.

"What was that?". I asked, pretending not to hear her.

"Nothing". She said igniting the car engine, it starts immediately.
