2pm, the same day.

I paced around the room ten thousand times, checking the clock every minute and second.

The alarm on my phone rang loudly. I rushed to pick up my bag from the bed , and I rushed to the door.

No, I will go and meet her first before carrying my bag. I rushed downstairs immediately. I saw Mom watching a movie, so I walked closer to her.

"Mom". I called feeling nervous, I sat next to her on the couch.

"Yes my darling daughter". She said without taking her eyes off the TV screen

"I want to take permission from you". I let out the words slowly.

"Come on talk, you are distracting me from the movie I am watching". She said a little bit loudly.

"Mom, I want to visit a friend. Can I go?". I asked, I could feel sweat covering my temple.

"You can go but don't be late". She said, I jumped on her.

"Thank you mummy". I said running upstairs.

I retouched my make-up, I checked myself in the mirror for the upteenth time. I rushed out immediately.
