44. A SUBTLE SUSPENSION?
It's been 4 days since Debby returned home and she's not heard from him.
Not from Sebastian the regular human or Leo the thief.
Both identities seemed to have just disappeared into thin air.
She resumed work against great opposition from Sophia and Jake and at work, she kept on getting several glances, from people looking at her funny. These were mostly people who didn't have the boldness to walk up to her. Others simply, especially people she hadn't ever talked with, seized the opportunity to sympathize with her about what happened.
"I do not understand why you're here. You should be home, resting!" Doctor Brian said as he laid eyes upon her in the common room. "You are here, working like your job is more important than your life."
Debby wasn't exactly bothered by all of their talks and actions. What bothered the most was how to start looking for her dad's paper.
