FELIX.

"You’ve been rotting on that sofa for days now. When are you going to get up?" I groan at my peace being interrupted by Lemuel’s voice. Not that it was that much of a peace with the rage that’s contained in my head.

"For as long as I need to," I respond without moving from the sofa. My face is turned to it as I lie down so I can’t see Lemuel, but I know he’s moved closer when his voice reaches nearer. "Are you ready to speak to me?"

"I have nothing to say."

"There’s something obviously wrong with you. You haven’t been yourself since you came in soaked in blood five days ago." Lemuel provides. It’s been five days already? Feels like just a few hours ago, since my mind keeps replaying that moment and the actions that followed. "Felix. Please. Talk to me." He says softly and there’s a temporary pause. I almost think he gave up, then his voice comes again. "Is this about Brynn? Did something happen to her?"
