I was with Vanessa, we were by our special place, sitting side by side just staring at the lake.

It was a beautiful day, sunny and bright and as I looked at Vanessa there was this radiance from her whole being, she had never looked more gorgeous!

She was trying to tell me something but I was lost in her beauty. I could see her mouth moving but I was so mesmerized that somehow I did not hear a word she said.

Then all of a sudden everything changed, the bright sunny day became dark and foggy. The lake was suddenly black and no longer blue and beautiful.

I looked at Vanessa and she was terrified, I could practically see the fear in her eyes. She grabbed me and started screaming,

"Don't let me go!"

I wanted to hold her, to tell her that I would always be by her side, to reassure her of my unending loyalty, but suddenly she was gone.

Lost like she had not just been by my side and everywhere became black.
