Telling the truth

Allison's POV

“I'm listening, Allison,” Tasha said. “Start talking. I'm all ears.”

Inhaling sharply, I clutched my hands together before I began telling her everything–from how Leo and I met and started a situationship to help pay for my mother's medical bills, to how he abruptly ended our situationship because of his marriage, which never took place eventually.

“This is the craziest and most surreal story I've heard in a while,” She uttered. “You could use your story to make a fine telenovela because it's so intriguing. So when are you resigning?”

“What?”

“You heard me or are you not planning to resign?” She asked. “Working for someone you hate must be extremely tiring, and I know you don't want that, right?”

“Oh, yeah, right,” I nodded.

I had kept the bits of information on how Leo had fingered me into a toe-curling climax to myself because I knew Tasha would flip out and be disappointed at me.
