Ivan’s POV

“Congratulations.” A male voice brought me back to the present and I turned to see one of the investors behind me. I’d gotten so engrossed with watching Lexi leave that I forgot that I was still surrounded by a lot of people.

“Thank you,” I responded as we both clinked our glasses, “I promise not to disappoint you and those who have put their trust in us.” I added with a smile that he returned.

We spoke for a while and I had to have another meeting with the entire board of the company’s directors. I’d been nervous on my way here because I would usually bring Reece along and she handled things perfectly but Lexi exceeded my expectations.

The meeting ended and they decided to throw the party till late at night but I wasn’t really present, I couldn’t stop thinking about the elevator, the speech and now CassianTech is becoming bigger than it already is.
