“I need to be home soon so please let’s just get all of this over with.” I informed Reece and Ansel. Ever since Lexi told me she has good news for me I haven’t been calm.

I really wanted to see her and I couldn’t stop checking the time to know how late I’d be. I didn’t want to keep her waiting, especially since I asked her to wait for me.

“You called this meeting and it’s going to be our fault that you’re getting home late for happy hour?” Ansel asked and Reece snickered.

Shooting them a glare, the room fell silent and I started the meeting. I've been meaning to promote Lexi and there’s no better time to talk about it than now.

Since she’s been a part of the company, her impact has been great and we’ve recorded more sales and production than usual.

“She’s like your little good luck charm,” Reece smiled at me and as cute as her smile was it felt kind of creepy but I shrugged it off.
