Lexi’s POV

‘Leave as soon as you can, wherever you want to go and send your pinned location to me. You’re in danger and I am too. Go or you might not get to live.’

The text read with every urgency crippling under my skin, I could feel my heart in my stomach as I kept rereading the text to be sure of its content.

Hurriedly, with my heart racing, I called Ivan but he wasn’t answering, I could feel my sweat breaking. The cold room was suddenly becoming hot.

The text had a sense of urgency and if Ivan had sent a text like this then I shouldn’t doubt him, I really need to leave and do exactly as he says.

We’ll both be back when we have things figured out.

Quickly, I packed some of my clothes before storming out of the house in one of the cars. It was late and I could barely see because of the tears welling up in my eyes.
