“You know, it's my head that's hurt, not my leg,” Mia said while leaning her head on Jaxon's chest.

That man had carried her out of the hospital, even as far as Aurelia Castle.

Once out of the car, Mia protested to walk alone, but Jaxon didn't give Mia a choice so she couldn't help but be in his arms again.

“I know, but I don't want you to be out of my sight,” Jaxon said as he tightened his grip on Mia's lower knees while one hand holding her back.

Mia also sighed, because she felt so comfortable being in his arms that almost made her fall asleep because Jaxon's slow steps slightly lulled her.

“I feel a little tired,” Mia mumbled sounding sleepy.

Jaxon smiled and let Mia fall asleep in his arms. He crossed the living room, towards the second floor where their room was.
