"Fine! I'll respect the Tsarina's request and play along!" Glen snarled.

His expression was dark and menacing.

"We have several people here, so we have several lives. That guy only has one life! That means we can lose seven or eight times and still have the upper hand.

"But if he loses once, he's dead!"

Plus, this was Aleena's turf. Even if Frederick lost and tried to back out, Aleena wouldn’t let him off.

Jasmine's palms were sweaty with worry. "Frederick, this Russian Roulette game seems fair, but it's actually quite against us."

Frederick smiled gently. "Don't worry. No matter the game, I'll win!"
