Cody's smile froze instantly. He felt as if he had been slapped hard across the face, and a burning sensation overwhelmed him!

The entire office fell into an eerie silence!

Mary and John were ecstatic.

"Fred, that was amazing!"

Frederick shrugged.

As always, Matthew was clever. When he ordered two million, he immediately increased the amount tenfold just to please Frederick.

Frederick approached Cody, who was pale as a sheet, and said, "Mr. Scott, I've kept my end of the bargain. Shouldn't you do the same?"

Cody sneered and retorted, "You said two million over the phone, but the mayor's office ordered twenty million! The numbers don't add up!"

John was indignant.

"Mr. Scott, what's the meaning of this? Are you trying to back out?"

Cody coldly snorted. "I suspect it's all a coincidence. Frederick is just an inexperienced intern in the corporate world. He must have heard rumors about the mayor's office planning to order our group's product, so he deliberately bet against me!"
