Chapter 65 Butterflies in the stomach

Finally, my first day of school. I had already mapped out a route and I would walk, the weather was cloudy, but I'll take my chances. I grabbed my stuff and went out, I tried to close my door and got a scare when my neighbour appeared, I let some things fall on the floor.

"You're pretty clumsy as well as distracted," he tells me.

"I just got scared," he ducked and so did I, our hands bumped and I was embarrassed as I didn't have much contact with men who weren't family.

"Are you going to college?", I confirmed.

He took my things and we went downstairs. When we arrived at the door of the building, and I put my foot on the pavement, the water drops started to fall, I looked at the sky and took a deep breath.

"Come on I'll take you, I'm going to work" my strange neighbour finally spoke, "My name is John" he finally introduced himself.
