Eighty Seven

"I'll be home at lunch." I said to Gabriella who was now sitting on her bed, her fever had gone down but she was still pale.

She chuckled as she shook her head. "No need to do that. I'm already fine." She replied.

I shook my head. "No. No. I'll be home by lunchtime, and you spend some time now sleeping." I put the bowl filled with cream soup which is now empty on the nightstand. "Surely after taking the medicine."

"I can do it myself." She said with a smile. "You can leave now."

I'm in doubt.

"Just leave, it's okay. After taking the medicine, I will sleep.”

I exhaled slowly, and nodded. "In that case, fine." And then I got up to leave her.

Putting the bowl on the kitchen table, I chose to wash it later. Actually, I didn't want to leave Gabriella who was sick, but on the other hand it would be very unprofessional if I asked Rhysand for another day off. Some employees would definitely say that I used our position and proximity to do whatever I wanted.
