Everything Tommy said fell by the wayside as I entered Gabriella's bedroom.

The slightly taller woman was asleep on top of her brown bed, her face completely pale, and a sight escaped. Holding my breath and feeling my heartbeat increase with worry, I stepped towards her slowly trying not to disturb her sleep. I looked down at her and touched her forehead with the back of my other hand. She has a fever. Straightening up, I started to walk outside, called my family doctor, and made a compress for her.

The feeling of guilt grew when I pressed the towel against her forehead, seeing how pale Gabriella's face was. We have been friends since freshman year of college. Both of us came from other countries and struggled through a culture shock that was so strong in America. Become a place to complain when we are tired of college assignments or even about men. Gabriella was very open and all of that changed slowly when college ended.
