"Hey girl, I saw your text message. What's up? How did it happen?" Talia questioned me immediately. I picked up her call.

"It is a long story, Talia, you need to come over." I told her and she groaned.

"I can't wait. But I can manage so tell me where the hell you are so I can come over." She said impatiently.

I told her the name and number of my mother's house before ending the call.

"Margaret, please can you make that big Mac two? My friend is coming over." I said to Margaret who was rinsing the pot inside the kitchen.

"Okay, young mistress." She responded.

I've told her several times today to stop addressing me as a young Mistress but she never listens.

"I'm going to say it again, call me Cath or Catherine. I feel old when you call me 'young mistress'." I told her and she smiled, showcasing her set of teeth to me.
