Chapter seventeen. 

ACE. 

I spent the entire day with Grey and Jaxon in his house .

I was only delaying the inevitable , I didn't see prolonging the situation any longer. 

It was dark outside when I decided to return back to our mansion. 

I met mom sitting on the sofa,  a magazine dangling from her fingers. A steaming mug in the other. 

Her gaze widened,  and her lips curved into a smile when she spotted me. 

"Finally!  You weren't returning my calls so I thought...... never mind,  how was your day Ace? " she spoke sweetly. 

It was going fucking well until I have to see your face,  the reply burned in my tongue,  but I didn't say it out. 

I regarded the woman who birthed me,  there was no changes in her appearances from the past time I saw her. 

Her eyes were bright,  her face not holding any wrinkles,
