Book 3 - Ch. 155: The Perfect Gift

The restaurant is one of those quaint authentic little restaurants that sits tucked away where it isn’t so obvious to the outside world. You either know about it from finding it online or you hear about it from a friend who’s been there. Dad says that it has a five-star rating with great reviews, so he decided to try it out. I have to give him credit, normally mom is the one that picks out the restaurants because the last two times dad picked, we all ended up with either food poisoning or the shits. I doubt this place will give either, but I will wait to praise the place until tomorrow.

When we meet them out front of the little quaint establishment, mom leans in and whispers, “I did look it over after your father had told me about it, so we should be good.” She smirks and then winks at me.

“Alright, who’s hungry?” My father claps his hands but the only one to show any real excitement is Eli. Bless his heart, my dad really does try.
