Mixed Emotions

Steve pov:

We all waited anxiously outside the ICU as they took Jeremy and Maggie in. Hospitals have a way of making me feel uneasy, especially when people I care about are there.

Seeing them lying in the hospital bed, fighting for their lives while we can only pray and hope for good news is one of the most frustrating experiences. It's heart-wrenching to witness their suffering, and all we can do is stand by and hope for the best.

The room was tense and silent, except for the occasional sound of someone shifting in their seat or the soft hum of the air conditioning.

I sat on the bench, tears streaming down my face as I remembered Jeremy's lifeless face. I felt so frustrated and helpless.

"Please, God, let him be alright. I can't live without him," I whispered to myself.

Suddenly, Matthew stood up from his chair and hit the bench next to me, letting out a loud grunt of frustration.

"I can't just sit like this anymore," he shouted.
