**Don’t stay away**Stephanie disengaged from him and took more time to check out what was in front of her. At the four corners of the chair, about five to six centimeters away were wooden pools with tiki lamps on each of them. On the sand were about seven pillar candles surrounding the furniture. On the table, which was covered with white linen fabric, were Colonettes, bold bloom flowers, two bottles of exotic wines in small wine buckets, glass cups, some rose petals, cutleries neatly arranged, and plates that had different kinds of appetizers on them. “When did you set all these up?” Stephanie asked in astonishment as Sebastian dragged the wooden chair backward so she could sit. “Is that necessary? We are here now, we should think about the present.” He responded as he walked to his chair. She bounced her head shyly and looked at the delicacies in front of her. There was Chicken Pasta Salad, Hard boiled eggs, fruit salad, and grapes. “Are we going to finish these? These are too m
Stephanie woke up with a large smile on her face. She covered her face with her hands and giggled as she remembered what happened last night. She heaved a sigh and turned on her side to see the bouquets Sebastian got for her on the drawer next to her bed. She reached for her phone that laid next to her bedside lamp, and she switched it on. As the phone came on, a message popped into her phone from an unknown number. She creased her brows and clicked on the message anxiously. The message read, "Just know that there's love in the air that you and I can both experience at the same moment if you feel the morning wind around you! Wake up and send me a text message. Good morning… From Sebastian.” Her smile was like sunshine on a ripening garden as she read the text to herself. “But wait...” She narrowed her gaze at the text. “How did he get my phone number? I can’t remember giving it to him,” She thought aloud. She was jolted out of her thoughts when her phone began to beep. She saw it wa
Stephanie got into the company and walked to her office. Immediately after she got in, Danielle walked up to her with a grin on her face. “What is it this time, Danielle?” She asked. and Danielle burst into laughter. “I saw both of you,” She said, and Stephanie raised one of her brows and walked to her desk. “I don’t understand you. You saw who?” Stephanie teased. “I saw you and Sebastian! I saw when he kissed your cheeks in the car,” She responded in a whisper and a smile crawled up Stephanie’s face. “Well, it was just a ‘see you later kiss’, okay?” She sat on her chair and placed her bag on the table. Danielle shook her head and moved closer to her. Her desk was not so far from Stephanie’s, so she pulled her chair close to Stephanie’s chair and leaned closer to her. “You can’t deceive me, Stephanie. I have known you for months now. You would never let anyone kiss you. Except…” She paused, and Stephanie rolled her eyes. “It’s very early in the morning, Danielle. Don’t you have work
Stephanie looked at her wristwatch and saw it was 6 pm already. “Time to go home,” She said to herself as she stood up. She began to pack her bags, and Danielle did the same. She looked up and saw Thomas and the other workers rounding off too. Thomas looked at her, and when their eyes met, he looked away quickly. They had met during lunch, and he confessed that he had always had his eye on her since she got to the company. Stephanie turned him down, saying she had a boyfriend, and she couldn’t cheat on him. He was hurt but he quite understood her. “I think he hates you now,” Danielle said, and Stephanie shook her head. “He doesn’t hate me. He is just hurt. He would get over it soon,” She mumbled and carried her bag. “You are so in a hurry today. What’s up?” Danielle teased, knowing quite well that Sebastian’s car was parked outside, waiting for her. “Sebastian is here to pick me up. I don’t want to keep him waiting,” She said, and Danielle smiled. “I was aware, I saw him when he drov
Their eyes were glued to the television, they held onto the game controller pad firmly with their hands as if their lives depended on it. Sebastian’s eyes were wide open and his legs were spread open in anxiety. His car was in front of Stephanie’s but he wasn’t quite satisfied before she was catching up with him very fast. Stephanie laughed loudly as she saw how Sebastian struggled hard to keep his position in front of her. She was about to talk when Sebastian’s phone made a loud noise. He startled in fear of his ringtone, and the pad fell from his hand. “F**k!” He yelled. He ignored his phone and picked up the pad, but before he could continue playing, Stephanie had overtaken his car and was so close to the finish line. “Yes!” She screamed as she crossed the finish line. She tapped his shoulder in excitement, and he scoffed angrily. “You should be thankful, my phone saved you. I would have whooped your a*s.” He mumbled and this made her laugh harder. “I told you I was going to win,
Trouble in Owen’s house “Rebecca!” Owen stormed into the house after Rebecca. She was boiling in rage, and Owen wasn’t in a good mood either. “You listen when I’m talking to you, Rebecca!” He spat, rushing to her and grabbing her hand before she could walk out of the living room. “Don’t you dare touch me!” She barked, yanking her hands off him. “What is wrong with you, Owen? Since that day you set your eyes on her you have been acting strange! Do you want her, hun? Tell me! Go and meet her if you want her!” She yelled, and Owen heaved a sigh. “Oh please, Rebecca! This isn’t about her, okay? You don’t have to bring her up in every conversation we have! You are the one with the problem here! You had no right to discuss our family matters with your family! We can solve any issues we have, Rebecca!” He yelled in response. She burst into angry laughter and shook her head. “No, we cannot, Owen. I have always tried to please you with everything I do, but it’s not working. I can never pleas
Stephanie rushed out of the bathroom with her hair dryer in her hand. She woke up late, but luckily, it wasn’t too late. She stood in front of her mirror and dried her damp hair. Her white towel was wrapped around her body, and some drops of water could still be seen on her chest and her legs. She shook her head after switching off the hair dryer, and when she saw no water dripped from it, she smiled widely. She opened her drawer and pulled out the coconut oil she used to moisturize her hair after washing it. She poured some on her hand and ran her hand through her hair. She massaged her scalp carefully, making sure the oil touched every part of her hair. She gazed at her hair in the mirror and giggled happily. She had not taken care of her hair so much in a long time, but for Sebastian, she had to. “I want him to be swept off his feet when he sees me today,” She told herself. She rushed to her closet and flung the door open. She took a fast spin and laughed afterward. She untied her
“Yay!!!” They all shouted in excitement after Sebastian and one other racer crossed the fine line at the same time! “Why didn’t he let Sebastian win?” Stephanie mumbled, folding her arms and pouting. “He won't be the winner every day, girlfriend. At least they both won. You should be happy, shouldn’t you” Danielle responded, hitting Stephanie with her arm. Stephanie rolled her eyes and heaved a sigh. “I’m happy though. At least, he is always winning,” She responded, and Danielle giggled. She kept checking Stephanie out for minutes, and when Stephanie noticed this, she turned her face to look at her. “What?” She asked, furrowing her brows. “Your dressing today is super hot! I never knew you had such nice legs!” Danielle uttered, and Stephanie chuckled, she lowered her head shyly. “It’s for him… hun?” Danielle twitched her brows as she teased her. “Danielle, stop teasing me!” She raised her head and looked at her. Danielle broke into laughter and shook her head. “I’m not teasing you.”
