Silent Goodbye

The car stopped right in front of the hospital. Her footsteps are busy approaching the receptionist to ask about Edward who hasn't contacted her yet. Her heart feels like it's getting pierced with a needle. She doesn't care about anything in the world at least, he should be fine and all well.

”No wonder he has been avoiding me, saying such random stuff overall” she talks to herself and looks at the receptionist who welcomed her with a soft smile.

“ Hello. Ma'am!"

All she could do is nodding off her head and hurriedly take the card out of her purse..“ My husband is here to get treatment. This is his visiting card. Can you tell me where is he? His name is Edw-”

“ You are great, Prince Charming. When will I return home? I hate to stay here.”

A familiar voice that causes her instant crawl in her skin forces her to turn back. A painful memory suddenly strikes her mind.

“ Charlotte! Since I am your only best friend. You can at least let me use your laptop. I need to finish the project."
