Chapter 69

Lea’s point of view:

A week had passed by pretty smoothly. No one bothered me after that incident back on my first day at St-Xavier’s.

Ryder was quite protective after that day. He wouldn’t leave my side. I knew that I was under his protection until his elder brother returns back but he was not being just protective. It felt like he was being too protective almost.

I was thankful to him for arriving right on time. I did not know what Brian’s intention was but if he was trying to hurt me, he did. There were bruises on my arms and back but they were fading away. As if I did not have enough scars on my body, I just had to receive some more.

When I do think about Ryder's protective nature though, maybe he was just trying to do his job. I shook my head to get rid of the confusing thoughts that started pilling in my mind. He was simply doing his job. I insisted when my heart started reacting weirdly.
