Chapter 99
Lea’s point of view:
This kiss was so different than the first one.
He parted my lips with his soft and tantalizing tongue. I nestled against his lean and muscular body, fitting my body against his chest.
His arms around me tightened and pressed me more into him. My eyes fluttered close. Being right here with Ryder was the best thing that could have ever happened to me in life.
As he kissed me, he stroked my arms, my shoulders and neck with his fingertips while his right hand held my lower back.
I moved impossibly closer, pressing our bodies together, for more. I could feel the heat radiating from him.
His left hand trailed upwards, brushing against my shoulders. I shivered when his hand came into contact with my skin.

Lea’s point of view: The next morning, I woke up with a big smile on my face. I had a feeling that my day was going to be somewhat good today. After I got ready for school, I went downstairs to prepare breakfast. It was the first time that I was cooking something in Ryder’s kitchen. After I had left my old town and house, I couldn’t bring myself to cook anything. I repeatedly got flashbacks of how I was always forced to cook food for my father. I shook my head to get rid of those bad memories and started cooking. I fried some beacon and eggs and toasted some bread before taking some milk out of the fridge and a box of cereals out of the cupboards. When I was done plating the food, I got myself some coffee from the coffee machine. I gasped when a pair of arms wounded around my waist from behind. “Good morning, kitten.” Ryder whispered into my left ear before pecking me on my left cheek.

Lea’s point of view: “Ryder, stop!” I seized his right arm to stop him from advancing towards the boy. I thought the boy would return back to his place behind us quietly seeing Ryder’s death glare but he did something unexpected. He leaned forward towards me and draped an arm presumptuously over my shoulders to taunt Ryder. Lea’s point of view: I glanced at Ryder with a frown when he parked the car on an unfamiliar street which was still bustling with people. It was already nine o’clock and we were still far from home. It seemed like in this town, a completely different atmosphere reigns at night, yet I realized later on that the busy street never slept until later at night when we ended up spending two whole hours there. There was always going and coming of people, police cars patrolling the area and the restaurants and street snacks vendors remained open till late at night. I sighed in delight when a delicious smell of food wafted in the air as we neared a food truck selling Mexican tacos which tasted amazingly luscious.
