Rejection

"I will go and redo it." She simply said and stretched forward her hand and grabbed the notebook but he wouldn't let it go.

"Give it back!." Thelma frowned but Derek wouldn't budge as he placed his hand on the note.

"Take it if you can." He said, staring at her seriously.

"What are you doing, just give it back to me, okay?."

"Why should I give it back?."

Thelma gritted her teeth, wishing she could just slap this man, but she instead glanced at him as if he was stupid and replied. "Because it is mine."

Her tiny voice sounded like an angry kitten and Derek can't help but tease her. He mimicked her tone and said softly "But what's yours is mine."

Thelma's eyes widened abruptly as she stared at his shock, then she shook her head. "What do you want Selena to do if she were to hear what you just say?."

Derek shook his head. "What does what she felt has to do with me?."

"Aren't you guys a couple?." Thelma asked, successfully snatching back her notebook and starting redoing the wrong ones.
