Chapter 58

When Boris got off the call with Cole Lora gave him a questioning look. He had come to the bar in order to stay awake and wait for Cole’s call which never came. They were both tired and sleep-starved but Lora was determined to go to Bellini by hook or by crook to go persuade her friend to come back home.

“Why did he get so mad when you mentioned Maria Rouge, who is she?” Lora queried him.

“She was a farmer’s daughter, I heard her father used to work at the grapevine and Maria was a glutton, I heard she wasted all her father’s money on food and sweets, she was overweight and unattractive” Boris narrated.
