Chapter 62

Brittany packed up her clothes and toiletries into a small suitcase and took the phone Pietro gave her and filed out of the cabin with her suitcase in one hand and the phone in the other. She marched to the winery and made straight for Pietro’s office then handed him the phone. He gave her a questioning look from where he was seated.

“Brittany? Are you leaving?” He managed to say.

Brittany nodded in response “Why?” He asked.

“Why didn’t you tell me you were related to Cole?” Brittany asked.

“Cole? Who is… wait you mean Vincci?” Pietro asked.

“Cole is Vincci?” Brittany asked back.

“Didn’t he tell you?” Pietro sighed “What’s your relationship with him anyway?” He feigned ignorance trying to find out why Brittany and Cole split and also to see if he could use her to lure Cole back to the farm and deal with him once and for all.

“No he didn’t,” she said and turned around to leave. Pietro immediately got up and raced her to block her way.
