Bonus Short Story: Kaelan pt. 7

"This is it! This is the creature, it looks like her!" I point at a picture in the book. Finally, I found a shapeshifter that looks like Flutter.

"Are you sure?" Ryder says and looks over my shoulder to look at the picture.

"Yes, I am sure. It's her kind," I reply.

"Great. What does the book say about it? What's it called?" Ryder asks.

"It's called...um...Chiruchiri? What the fuck is that?" I look at the name in confusion.

Ryder shrugs. "Beats me."

I read through the abilities of the creature.

"It says here that Chiruchiri is extremely difficult to catch. It can sense danger and will flee quickly," I explain to Ryder.

"Then how did you catch it?" Ryder asks me.

I feel warmth in my chest as I remember seeing Flutter for the first time. She came to me so easily. "She was mine since day one. We are mates," I say.

Ryder looks at me with surprise. "Mate? But she is not even a werewolf."
