It was quite odd for me to look at Hayden after what we had done in his office. I was still trying to recover from the shock and my heart was still beating wildly but he was completely focused on the task.

So much so that he didn’t even look at me while sweeping a glance through all of us standing in front of him.

I felt a little bad but I was also curious about what he had to say about the award. But, more than that I just wanted him to look at me.

As such, I simply blurted out his name which made everyone look at me, not just him.

Uh oh.

With all the eyes staring at me, I did not know what to do next.

The only guy who had managed to ask a doubt had been tactfully silenced by Hayden so nobody else had dared ask him anything again.

Even Steve who was otherwise arrogant and unnecessarily cocky seemed to want to do nothing with him.
