I walked through the dimly lit corridor of our secret headquarters, the weight of my recent decision bearing down on my shoulders like a heavy stone. As I approached the oak door at the end that belonged to the office of the boss, my heart pounded with a mixture of anxiety and fear. I knew that this meeting would not be pleasant because Jackson had failed to eliminate Drake, and the boss had already heard about it. Only if Jackson had finished the job, I wouldn't be standing here now, dreading what comes next.

I knocked twice and heard a gruff voice from within, "Enter."

I pushed the door open and stepped into the office of my boss, a stern and unforgiving figure known as Sandwick. He was a man of few words but had an uncanny ability to see through people and look into their very soul

"Alpha Lucas, have a seat." With a scowl on his face Sandwick said as I immediately obeyed, taking a chair across from his massive oak desk not wanting to piss him off than he already was, my gaz
