Wilson had never gotten such a long look at his daughter. The baby had stayed in the neonatal ward for a long time after Clara had given birth to the child. He had only seen the baby a few times, and all he could do was look in through the glass.

Maybe his subconscious mind was afraid of his attachment to the child. The longer he looked at her, the more he would be emotionally attached to her. That would make him reluctant to part with her.

"Umm… I'm going to wash up. If the baby wakes up crying, just hold her for a little while. She'll stop crying as soon as you hold her," Clara said.

Wilson furrowed his brow slightly. Hold… the little one?

"Okay, sure." Speaking of which, he had not really held his daughter much.

Clara made her way into the bathroom and washed up. After that, she opened the door only to hear her daughter's cry and Wilson struggling to hold the child.

"You said she'd stop crying if I held her!" Wilson blurted out when he saw Clara quickly rushing over to help.
