Chapter 49: Beatitude

"Are we going to spend the night here?" I asked him as we watched the beautiful sunset. His arms were wrapped around my waist as my back was pressed against his chest.

"It's up to you, Love," he replied. He then puts his chin on my shoulder and then kissed my skin there. “We can stay here as long as you want,” he added.

"You own this resort?"

"Yes. I bought this last year."

"It's relaxing here. Let’s stay here for the night. Maybe we'll just go home tomorrow," I suggested, to which he immediately agreed. "Wait, I'll call Tita Bea first, she’s probably worried right now. I haven't been home for almost two days."

I let go of his hug first to get my cell phone which I put on the table and then dialed my aunt’s number.
