"Are you sure you're going to work now, Ate Luli? Have you ever looked at yourself in the mirror? Your eyes are still swollen."

I tied up my now long black hair first before facing Maegan and gave her a tight smile.

"I'm already fine, Mae. So you don't have to worry now, okay?" I stroked her cheek then turned away. "I’ll go ahead or I might get stuck in the traffic," I informed her before finally leaving the house.
