RISSA'S POV "Fight?!" I exclaimed. Great! Just great! Initially, my brain had been flowing in a sea of oxcytocin, as I was so eager, and I honestly couldn’t wait for us to get out of there so Drax and I could have our moment. Unfortunately, Damian’s call came in, and we had to run for our dear lives. And although I wasn’t happy that our beautiful moment was unavoidably interrupted, my consolation was the fact that I finally got a positive response. Drax loved me back, and I couldn’t get over the warm feelings I was feeling all over. Of course I’m not happy that it had to take this long for him to acknowledge his feelings for me, I understood where he was coming from and the reasons why it wasn’t easy for him. Although I’m not the kind of person that would fall head over heels for a guy to the point of confessing my feelings to him, I’m very happy that I did. Finally I can calm down and relax, knowing that the man I love loves me back. Unfortunately, I didn’t know if we would
RISSA'S POV Immediately, I fell to the ground and Drax turned back to check on me. My tummy was bleeding. Drax lifted my shirt up to examine the wound. Thankfully, the bullet only nicked my side, missing my vital organs. But the problem was, I was bleeding severely. Drax applied pressure on the wound to prevent me from losing too much blood. But as we looked up behind us, the hunters were already close. Lily had run out of bullets, and they swarmed all around her to pin her down. She tried to resist, but she was no match for them. Soon, she was overpowered, in seconds they had her tied up, while the rest of them proceeded towards us. “Drax, you have to go. They’re coming for you.” I said, looking up at him with a grimace on my face, due to the intense pain I was feeling. “No, I can’t leave you here.” He said in a quavering voice, while caressing my face with one hand. “You have to go Drax. You can’t let them capture you. Leave me here; I’ll be fine I promise.” I said in fear. I d
Drax's POVMy father ran the pack so diligently, yet he always had time for his family. I never felt forgotten or alone. It felt like he had always been there for me in the time when he was alive. I always wondered how he managed to do it. It seemed like a mystery to me. I stood up from my seat and decided to take a walk for some fresh air.I hoped the garden above would be empty, so I could have some time to reflect. Especially since we were in the final stages of the battle. In a short while, Damian would be dead, I'd be cured, and the pack would be under my control... We were in the endgame.I moved towards the ladder, just below the hatch on the ceiling. As I passed the small walkway that led to the two bedroom doors, about to hold onto the ladder rails, a weird smell hit my sensitive werewolf nostrils. It smelled like sex — or specifically like a lady's wetness. What was going on?Is today some kind of sex holiday I didn't know about? Or is this a plan to get me all horny so I c
RISSA'S POV I paced around the garden slowly, as I pondered on the events that were about to take place. I wondered what it would feel like to be able to shift back and forth at my own will. — I couldn't wait. The excitement built up inside me. Very soon I'd see my brother again, and the oppressions would stop. He would live a normal and happy life. When I finally become Aplha in less than a week, I would make sure that everyone around me is happy.I continued my pondering the garden while the cool evening breeze trickled against my skin. After a few minutes, I heard a sound that came from the back entrance of the house.I bent low, and hid behind behind some shrubs, to avoid getting spotted by a guard, or someone else. I peeked through the openings and found out that it was Billy who had just returned from his mission. We have been waiting for him for hours... At least he was here now.He proceeded to the statue, so he could move it and gain access to the entrance. "You're late!" I
BILLYS POVHe had infiltrated a heavily guarded mall with Rissa before and he didn't seem bothered about it.So why did he look all tensed up after a mere infiltration mission.I pushed the statue out of the way. We both climbed down, escaping the chilly evening breeze to the warm underground lounge. We all sat down in the lounge, while Billy had his laptop and some walkie-talkies in front of him as he tried to complete the radio linking process. After a while, it worked. The radio was connected and we could tap into their audio signal whenever we wanted."Alright, it's connected." Billy explained. "If you want to hear what they're saying, tap this button." He tapped on the button and we heard some voices chattering in the background. "If you want to change the device transmitting the audio, you tap this button." He tapped on the button, and a different background noise sounded from our end."...and if you want to speak, you press this button and all the hunters with radios would be a
RISSA'S POVI woke up at midnight and found Drax was still awake, watching the prisoner, after we had our turn watching him, so I whispered to him. "Drax, you need to get some rest. He's not going anywhere... He's fast asleep."I felt really concerned about him staying awake without any sleep. Drax has always been the one to go through the inconveniences just to make sure we're all ok.He made my safety his own priority. To be honest, Drax has really grown from the nonchalant, sad, wounded man I rescued from that trap weeks ago."He may be pretending, waiting for us to lower our guard, so he can kill us or escape and alert whoever is working with him." Drax whispered back.I don't know what his talking about, because the prisoner I'm looking at right now is clearly in a deep sleep. I'm sure we could put him in a car and move him across the country without him moving a muscle.I was feeling very sleepy, but my conscience wouldn't let me leave Drax awake and all alone. It would be unfai
RISSA'S POVAfter contemplating, we agreed to do it ourselves. We walked down, a few blocks away from the park, and found a shop for hair care products. We went inside, and shopped for all the stuff we'd need to work on the hair. Then we went to the bathroom and found an empty stall.I did Lily's hair first, and in no time, she was looking all different—and beautiful. Then, with Lily's help I was able to bleach my silky brunette hair, to a new dirty blonde colour. After the hair makeover, we stood in front of the big mirror in the bathroom's open area, turning and changing poses as we admired our new look. It's not as good as plastic surgery, but I'm sure we'd be able to fool a lot of people with this new look.Only someone who looked very closely enough would be able to tell that we're the same people in the wanted posters. I can't wait to see the look on Drax's face when he sees us for the first time with our new hair."I look amazing!" Lily pouted her lips seductively as she admi
RISSA'S POVDrax nodded his head slightly. "Alright. Let me get ready. We'll set out in ten minutes." He said, then he stood up with the empty cups in his hand and left the room.We all got dressed and converged downstairs with our disguises on."There's an electronics shop down the block. I think we might be able to obtain a phone from there. Lily, you're going to go in while we be on the lookout for you outside." Drax said."Let me do it." I jumped in.Drax looked at me confused. "You can't go in there. Someone might recognize you. Besides, Lily already has the skills for pickpocketing, so it's easier for her not to get caught." Drax countered."Okay." I nodded. But I wasn't ok. I obliged to do it because I didn't want to feel left out. I wanted to make my own contributions to the team, and not just be a liability.I'm starting to feel that way. Like I'm not good enough. Like I'm worthless. Especially since I have no wolf. That inner voice in my head keeps telling me that I'm useles
