Chapter 9
Vivian opened her eyes and looked at her arms. Kirito had grabbed her wrist as he stood behind her. She turned back and looked at him. Her hair was safe. He had stopped her on time. He looked at the scissors and took them away.
"Cutting them?" He asked. She quickly turned back and wiped her tears. He clicked his tongue in irritation "Why are you crying? You look pathetic when you cry-- just stop."
She laughed "I look pathetic either way so it doesn't really make any difference."
At this point, she had lost something much more important than her life for him. She didn't sacrifice her hair but her self confidence took the toll.
"The house is a mess, the dishes aren't done yet. Seriously, do real work. Stop wasting time. Also, I forgot a file. Find it for me" He ordered.
"I'll get it to your office."
"Do you think I'll let you enter there? I don't wanna become a piece of mockery. Just find the file-- Do what you're told" She went into the bedro

Jericho was walking on a train track. There was nothing around, just barren land. And the train track just laid over the huge mass of barren land. He stopped and took a breath as he heard the approaching train from far away. He could hear a heartbeat as he moved closer. He saw a young male laying horizontal on the train track.His brown eyes were dead as he looked at the sky through his messy almond hair."Hey," Jericho lay beside him. He turned his neck and looked at him. Then looked back at the sky with a sad smile."Are you here to die too?" Erika stood outside the bar in the cold and dialed Kirito's number."It's Kirito. Leave a message'"Fuck you! Where are you, Kirito? Why didn't you come when I asked you to? Meanwhile, Vivian and Kirito were home. Vivian stood in the kitchen while Kirito sat at the dining table. She tied her hair into a ponytail and washed the vegetables. She peeled them and chopped them. Then she began cutting the onions as tears flowed down her eyes. Kirito watched her cook. "Why not just skip cutting onions?"
