73. Calvin's Threat

"Stop pacing! What are you really worried about?" yelled Dad, looking at me with a bleary look.

What am I worried about? It's all about Kenan; what else?

"You keep pacing like an iron!" added Dad.

I stopped walking and took a deep breath. I'm considering skipping class today.

I'm afraid Kenan will meet me; I'm not ready for that.

"Kei, you can be late; don't you want to go now?" Dad folded his newspaper and walked over to me.

"Can I not go today?" I asked stupidly.

Dad glared sharply, then pushed me towards the door of the house.

"I have to take you to campus, it seems! It must be ensured that you get to campus!" After saying that, he walked away from me. He put the car keys in the TV table drawer and followed me out of the house.

Oh, it looks like I don't need to take you today," said Dad, looking at the gate.

I followed his gaze and immediately went limp as soon as I saw Kenan's motorcycle enter the gate.
