Chapter 1286

All of a sudden, another piece of news broke out. Malcolm had made a public announcement declaring a lockdown of the airport in order to ensure the safety of King Pendragon. He urged all members of the public to leave of their own accord unless they wished to be evacuated by members of the police and the military!

At the same time, he also revealed to the public that King Pendragon would remain in Drunham City for some time.

This, no doubt, took the entire city by storm. Most of the people who had gathered at the airport chose to leave, knowing that with the police and the military brigade, they stood virtually no chance of seeing King Pendragon. Some of the more optimistic ones, however, stood their ground, hoping against all odds that they would be able to catch a glimpse of King Pendragon, no matter how fleeting.

The rest of the people who were stuck in traffic on their way to the airport chose to abort their missions and return home, apparently to formulate plans to 'bump into'
