Kira's POV.

I paced around my room. The deed was finally done. That witch, Mai, was finally out of the Pack house, but the reaction my mate showed made me worried.

I immediately turned my head to the door, trying to figure out why it made the creaking sound when I saw Mary there. She was peeking through the door, and had a worried look on her face.

“You should try to get some sleep. Remember, you're still trying to recover,” Mary explained, meeting herself in, and I nodded. My heart was drumming fast. Yet, I didn't know what to do because I was confused.

Mary stood there with a smile on her face.

“I know you're worried, but he's also a grown man, so relax, okay?” She advised, and spent some time in my room, hoping he would return.

It was only a matter of time before she left the room, leaving me alone with my thoughts once again.
