Kira's pov.

The way he was so close to me caused me to have butterflies flying around in my belly. My throat dried up, and our eyes stared into each other like never before.

It was almost like he was staring into my soul to tell me something which I didn't yet understand.

“You want me, don't you?” He asked, making me smile. Of course I wanted him. He was all I could think of right now asides what Mary told me earlier which I planned to ask him later.

However, thinking of Aric killed the mood, and I noticed he sensed I was troubled.

“Why are you troubled about him? He won't harm you, or come close to you, I promise you. it's over my dead body. I'll protect you with my life, and there's nothing I can do about it. I love you Kira,” he reassured me so I wouldn't think too much, but before I could speak again, his lips raided mine.

I grabbed his shoulders, hoping on his waist so he could hold my weight.
