Pre-Confrontation

Ember's POV

When we returned from the factory, Trent was pissed and I was feeling very sorry for him. It wasn't easy to have something stop the flow of income into one's life. It was annoying. I trailed carefully behind him and was waiting to see what he would do. It was obvious that he was angry beyond measure and I was thinking about what I wanted to do.

It was my business that got destroyed. It was weird that I had a feeling that the man wasn't the culprit but I didn't know how to prove it.

For someone who was already doubting my words, throwing into this mix was only going to compound the problem.

Our maids were running Helter skelter trying to make sure that food was ready for breakfast but if I had my way, I'd send all the Alphas away. I didn't want to have anything to do with that man. His presence unnerved me especially because I knew what he was up to.

"I'll be in the kitchen." I announced so that he'd not search for me. "Sonia,lead the way." I told her and she nodded.
