And so it begins

Nadia's POV

Standing by the main doors of the palace, I breathed a deep breath of fresh air.

"Oh how I love the smell of nature in the mornings," I thought, smiling to myself.

My sisters should be awake shortly. The day waits for no one and we have a lot to do, but only a few weeks to prepare, according to my grandma. She's the clan's oracle and can see into the future.

I wouldn't be able to do what she does. She can't tell us everything she has seen as it will mess up the balance if we try to change things. I only wanted to know if we would lose many and what species they were, but she accused me of choosing one species over another. I just gave up and had to learn to accept the fact that not everyone will get through this fight.

Opening the doors, I walked in and headed to the dining room.

"Good morning your majesty," bowing my head in respect.

"Please, call me Emily."

"I'm sorry. I..."
