CHAPTER SIXTY-FIVE

"Miss you're taking up space, your time's up." The waitress announced loudly.

Emily's head snapped up.

The chatter in the bar died down and all eyes turned towards her booth. She gritted her teeth as she quickly wiped the tear off.

She cleared her throat.

"My … Uhm ... I'm about to …." She stuttered.

"Miss!" You've held up this table for hours now. If that was your date he has left. You didn't even order anything. I know he broke up with you, take heart. Time's up. I need this table, it's a full house tonight." The waitress interrupted rudely.

Emily gasped, holding her chest. She then grabbed her things, stood up abruptly, and darted to the ladies’ room.

She burst into the dimly lit restroom, startling the couple making out in front of the mirror. She grabbed a toilet sink, trying to hold back her tears. They started falling out stubbornly. She quickly emptied the contents of her purse into the sink and grabbed her phone, dialing the first person she could think of. Jacqueline.
