Her date was running late. He was never late. She inhaled deeply and rearranged her hair. She'd sensed that something was wrong when Samantha called her and instructed that she meet up with him immediately. To make matters worse, she had not fully recovered from Shirley's attack.

There's no need to worry. He'll be here. She tried to assure herself.

David, her date albeit a fake one, was her team's informant who worked at the sorcerer's fight club. They met regularly and pretended to be very in love while swapping information. This particular date was impromptu though because it was rumored that they were about to move the kids. After all, the sorcerer suspected some of his workers. Samantha had immediately set a meeting with David to confirm it.
