Jenny’s POV

I could feel the weight of Elijah's words crashing down on me as he yelled in frustration. Guilt gnawed at me, I knew I shouldn't have left the room. His concern was valid, my life was in danger, but the silence about the threat was suffocating. I was certain it was his mother behind it all, but why the secrecy? Why keep me in the dark about the looming danger?
