Dante’s POV

As I stood there, the weight of the moment pressed heavily on my shoulders. My cousin's lifeless body lay before me, the one I had always considered my brother, and I was overcome with a whirlwind of emotions. Anger surged through me, fueled by his betrayal and attempts to wage war against us. How could he have turned against his own family? But alongside the anger, disbelief washed over me like a crashing wave. It was hard to fathom that he was gone forever.

At that moment, a part of me wished I had discovered the truth sooner. Maybe then, I could have reached out to him and tried to guide him back onto the right path. But now, it was too late, and the regret gnawed at my heart.
