I opened my eyes to the reflection of the soft morning light filtering through the curtains, casting a gentle glow in my peaceful sanctuary. I felt a strong hand holding me in place as I tried to adjust, I turned in surprise to see Dante sleeping peacefully on my bed, the warmth of his presence beside me instantly brought a smile to my face.

This is one of the rare mornings where everything just felt right, where the weight of the word might seem to lift off my shoulder. I was used to him leaving before I would even get the chance to say anything, but now he is lying on the bed with his hands wrapped around me tightly.

I could remember the heated argument we had last night, I was so angry Dante took a maid's side over mine, I didn't know he did it because he was hurt because of the situation he found me and his cousin in.
