Chapter 4

Helena Petra

His eyes flashed brown and I knew he could transform any moment.

“I promise Alessandro I won’t say anything. Please spare me.” I begged but he didn't flinch still clutching the gun I thought it was over.

"I have kept your secret all these years, haven't I? And that won't change. I promise." I said.

After a minute he calmed down and he stared into my eyes. “I really don’t want to kill you Helena. I just came to remind you to keep your mouth shut.” He said. Looking at his gun disappointed he put it back turned and left.

Oh Alessandro when did you become so soft. It’s almost pathetic. I have to fast track my plan.

I don't know why I couldn't kill Helena. But I will worry about that later. For now I have to find out who did this to us. And before that I have to check on Aliyah wherever she is. And I knew the perfect way.

Aliyah Sundane

Rainy days were not really my thing. I often easily got colds so I avoided going out in them like a plague.

On of these days Kale had to head out before going he made me some coffee. Trying to keep myself busy I started working some math out and doing some art. When I feel better I will do some chores as well. Today looked like any normal day until a knock?

Then a whimper followed. I went slowly towards the front door and when I opened it, I saw a stern but friendly wolf. It looked a little cold as it was beaten by the rain.

"Oh sorry my dear. Come in." I said. And picked it up. Oh boy was it heavy. I took it in and dried it.

Aliyah I had always known was very kind. She took in a strange animal. Well not exactly strange since it was me but she doesn't know that. Does she? And even if she does, she doesn't.

Leo doesn't mind baths but today when I'm the hot bath he moving around a lot and giving Aliyah a hard time. Why was he being so difficult. Anyway after that she took me to the hall put her favourite show on and sat beside me on the carpet. She was petting me and laughing. I don't remember the last time I felt this relaxed or watched TV.

I made a new friend Wolfie! I really like him a lot.

He came not less than 3 times a week. Strangely enough, though Wolfie is an animal when I meet him I don't miss Alessandro as much. Could there be an explanation for that? No of course not.

About a month later....

The sun was shining very beautiful today. I was in the garden enjoying some air. Kale was still asleep that lazy bum.

I was enjoying some music as well when suddenly there was a ruckus. Someone had come to the house. They were just breaking things in the house.

"What do you want?" I asked them. Kind scared but I hid it. "We want Kale." They said sternly. "He is not here." I said. I will die before someone can hurt my bestfriend.

Before I knew what was happening. Kale came to stand in front of me in a protective stance.

"When will you pay my money." The leader of the group said.

"Soon I am sorry." He said sort of shaking.

"It better be." The leader said.

On their way out, they broke a couple of more stuff.

"Do you know who youre messing with?" He was asked quite angrily.

"Let's put this behind us okay." He said hugging me.

I saw Wolfie staring and I looked into my eyes. Was it sadness, anger or jealousy.

"Why would Moro's men be after her bestfriend?" I wondered a little out loud but it came out as a whimper instead.

There's something Aliyah is not telling me. Who is she involved with. Since I couldn't do much to comfort her, Leo walked to her and she bent down and caressed him. Does she prefer me in my wolf state?

When she finished hugging me, she went back to hug Kale. I couldn't bare seeing her in the arms of another man. And technically she is mine.

Saying that made Leo's eyes flash brighter drawing even the attention of Kale. And they move away to go eat.

Later in the evening when it was my time to spend some time with Aliyah, Kale was in the way. I sneered at him especially when Aliyah asked him this.

"Can we still cuddle like when we were kids. And I don't want to sleep alone tonight." She said.

I can't believe this. Isn't he just her friend? So what was the meaning of this.

We all got on the bed but I kept staring at Kale.

"Oh Wolfie is jealous." He said and cuddles her again. Interestingly I fell asleep and when I woke up Kale was cuddling me more than Aliyah was. Quickly I shoved him aside. How dare he? It's her I want to cuddle. I pushed him off the bed and sleepily yet angrily went to sleep in his room. And Aliyah hugged me more which was what I wanted.

At home, I was thinking. I needed to know who was behind her almost being kidnapped at the picnic. The groups have been narrowed down to one last group and it seems I have to pay them a visit. Since she seems to be safe at her best friends place I could find out and finally take my mate home, where she should be. I decided to go without Daniel because I knew he was against it. After we reached the Mosta’s residence, it was quiet and suddenly there was an ambush which was to be expected and which I had planned for. I snapped my fingers and one of the Mosta boys laughed. "Looking for your men? They're dead, you're alone and you're all surrounded." He said with a smirk.

"I don't know why you didn't start with the good part Aliyah. Now that you've told me most about him I think he's actually cool. You do need a protective man." Kale said having that I know it all look.

"Nice that you think you've figured him out. There's something about him that I can't figure out and it bothers me." I said. "And after the drugging and arguements I can't tell."

“He does have feelings for you. And though they may be true he is kind of arrogant and I don’t want that for you.” Kale said.

What a confused boy Kale was.

I just went back to watching my movie on my phone.

Aliyah Sundane

I hadn’t heard from Alessandro in days. Though I was upset with him I needed to know he was alright. As I stared at my phone contemplating on whether or not I should call him, Kale came.

“What are you doing or about to do?” He asked.

“What does it look like?”I asked irritated. I am grateful he wants to protect me but I won’t let him come between Alessandro and I.

"Don't you even call Tiana?" I asked. "That's not fair Aliyah." He said and left me alone.

Finally I was able to call him and to my surprise Daniel rather picked.

"Where is Alessandro?" I asked immediately kind of confused.

“Honestly Aliyah, I don’t know how to say this but he is missing.” Daniel said.

“He is what?” I said dropping my glass of water. “But where could he have gone without you.” I said honestly shaken.

Suddenly I grabbed my coat and opened the door when I saw a person covered in blood there on the floor. So I decided to turn him and...
