Chapter Fifty Four

Logan

There is no one in the house when we reach it. It is a big bungalow with a gate. We climb over and break the doors, checking every corner but we don't find anyone; neither human nor vampire. We head back to the woods to another house that is near this and ends up checking the whole neighbourhood. It is an isolated neighbourhood, on the outskirts of the city, very quiet and lifeless. It looks like an abandoned neighbourhood yet everything is perfectly looked after; the lawns are trimmed, the houses are in good shape and there are cars as actually packed in the front yards.

After finding no luck in that place, I try to think of somewhere else Donovan or any vampire can be hiding, but I can't find a clue. They are probably hiding in some dark corner in their bat forms.

Wait!

That makes sense.

They are either hiding in a house or somewhere in the forest in a dark cave.

A cave!

That gives me a lead.

I head down to the Rocky Mountains Oracle caves. I met Donovan there once, but
