Chapter 30

Ezra’s POV

I do not know where to dart my eyes. In the end, I glued my sight on the carpeted floor of my room.

Amidst the silence of the room, all I can hear is my heart beating faster.

“W-What, master?” I asked without looking at him.

I gulped. Even I do not know what I am asking.

Even my eyes are out of his line of sight, I can feel the weight of his stares at me.

“You heard me. I want to see if the dress does not suit you,” he said.

My eyes landed on the dresses hanging in the opened closet. I slowly shake my head.

“I-It’s okay, master. I’ll just throw them out—”

“Who said you are allowed to have an opinion?” he rhetorically asked.

I lift my head and look him straight in the eye with a worried expression written all over my face. It was not my intention. I just think it is not necessary for me to wear them all just for him to check if they suite me.

If Laura doesn’t want them for me, then I won’t wear them. It is not that big of a deal. It’s just clothes. Plus, I am used to wearing
